Pigskin Picks from Shoney’s Restaurant in Morristown can be heard every Friday as part of the WCRK/WMTN Radio coverage of Morristown East and Morristown West High School football.

Meet the “Pigskin Picks” personalities:

Adam Greene is a freelance sportswriter and photographer. His work has appeared in the Chicago Cubs Vine Line Magazine, the Knoxville News Sentinel, the Citizen Tribune, AskMen.com, Carson-Newman sports publications and multiple other newspapers, websites and magazines. Adam lives in Russellville with his two children.

Matt Daniels, currently in his 6th season as a broadcast analyst for Morristown West football on WMTN, also serves as the Sports Editor of the Citizen Tribune.  He has spent nearly a decade covering prep and college sports in the Lakeway Area.

Matt is a hometown product, born and raised in Morristown where he attended Morristown West High School and Walters State Community College. While studying at Walters State, he served as statistician for all sports and also was the Sports Editor for The Statesman school newspaper.

After a brief break from the journalism business as a local restaurant manager, Daniels returned to the Citizen Tribune in 2007 as a sports writer before quickly being promoted to Assistant Sports Editor. Also during that time, he has served as the Sports Information Director at Walters State and the official statistician for football in the Inter Mountain Athletic Conference.

Mike Rypel is in his 15th season calling Morristown East High School sports on AM-1150 / 105.7 FM WCRK.

The Cleveland, Ohio, native, a former ice hockey player, is a veteran of more than 1,000 NCAA Division 1 and high school play-by-play contests.  He is a graduate of Bowling Green State University (OH).

Rypel has announced football, basketball, baseball and ice hockey games from such storied collegiate venues as Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan State, Indiana and Louisiana Tech, and at professional locales such as Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan.

He was thrilled to be on-the-call of future Hall of Fame WR Randy Moss’ final collegiate TD catch for Marshall University and for what was then-coach Joe Paterno’s 300th career victory at Penn State (since removed from the history books).  Rypel also announced ballgames from Indiana University’s famed Assembly Hall during legendary coach Bobby Knight’s historic tenure.

His written work has appeared on usatoday.com.

As a diehard Cleveland Browns fan, Mike has not missed a game since 1985 and has the emotional scars and therapy bills to prove it.  As they say in Cleveland: “One o’clock cheers. Four o’clock tears.”
