Multiple offenses have landed a Bulls Gap man behind bars.
The Greeneville Police Department received information late Sunday morning that 26-year-old Sage Andrew Cash of Gap Creek Road was at a home in the city.
They say Cash attempted to jump out the back door of the residence and landed on an officer, leading to a foot pursuit. Cash jumped into a vehicle and tried to flee, but a third officer broke the window and attempted to taser him. Cash tried to put the car into gear and nearly ran over the officers before he was pulled from the car, then struggled as he was taken into custody.
Sage Andrew Cash was the suspect in a burglary at a home on Hammitt Road in Bulls Gap in which more than $5,000 worth of items were stolen and he’s accused of shooting a man in the leg. In May, investigators also say Cash was driving a car that wrecked on North Mohawk Road after a female passenger took ill and she later died.
