Gigi Sharp named head of All Saints Episcopal School

THE REVEREND GIGI SHARP, NEW HEAD OF SCHOOL,

IS EXCITED ABOUT THE FUTURE OF ALL SAINTS EPISCOPAL SCHOOL

February 2018 – All Saints’ Episcopal School’s Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that The Reverend Gigi Sharp has been appointed as the permanent Head of School effective immediately. The Board is excited about the personal and professional values, and the passion for learning, The Reverend Sharp brings to the school. “When you hear words like intelligent, dedicated, and compassionate to describe The Reverend Sharp, the Board knows they’ve made the right decision in the future of All Saints’,” states Board of Trustees President Sam Neill. “Mother Gigi,” as students affectionally refer to her, officially began her leadership position last month and looking forward to leading the school forward for many years to come.

“Accepting this leadership position was truly a part of God’s plan, as is all things,” states Mother Gigi. “My love for education and the Lord has come together perfectly as we nurture and educate the students at All Saints’.”

Mother Gigi brings close to thirty years of school experience in education to All Saints’, including Middle School Math Instructor at All Saints’ and White Pine school over the past 15 years.

While at All Saints’, she served as Chaplain, worked to strengthen the already rigorous college pre-preparatory math program offered, and is already working in her collaborative style to grow and enhance all learning opportunities for the students. “We are allowing students the opportunity to participate, grow, and nurture interests beyond the classroom with drama and sports camps being offered this spring,” boasts Mother Gigi. “We are here for more than just educating these children academically: like our mission states, we are here to inspire and develop these young students to their full potential.” All Saints’ already provides a broad variety of learning through their enrichment curriculum, which includes art, music, Spanish, PE, Chapel, library and much more.

Mother Gigi graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a BS in Physics and BA in Mathematics and received her Master of Divinity from University of the South. She is married to The Reverend Jim Sharp, has four adult children, and four grandchildren.  Fr. Jim is currently the Priest in Charge at the Church of the Annunciation in Newport and they reside in Jefferson County.

In her free time Mother Gigi enjoys moto cross, sailing, and ‘piddling on the piano and drums.’ “Mother Gigi has the experience, character, and passion to lead All Saints’ forward for years to come,” states Fr. Mark Holland, Rector at ASEC. “She has an impeccable record as an exceptional educator and leader, along with a rich history with the church.”
