”BOO Fest” returns to Morristown on October 29

The City of Morristown’s Park and Recreation Department is excited to announce that this year’s “BOO Fest” will be hosted at Fred Miller Park on Monday, October 29, 2018, from 4:30pm to 8:00pm. This frighteningly spectacular event is for ages 2 to 12. ONLY CHILDREN AGES (2-12) ARE ALLOWED IN WITH FULL COSTUMES. 13 AND OLDER MAY WEAR COSTUMES HOWEVER WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN WITH FACE PAINTINGS OR MASKS. ALL CHILDREN MUST BE WITH ADULT AND CHILDREN OF AGES 2-12.

Back again this year is the Trick or Treat Trail which loaded with 46 local community based booths. For the vendors there will be a contest for best decorated booth, voted on by fellow guys and ghouls. The best decorated booth will receive a plaque to show at their place of business. Parking is permitted at Gateway Church, Calvary Baptist Church for the entire event and Health Star Physicians will allow parking starting at 5:30p.m. Morristown Police Department will be assisting to help with any parking problems, please keep in mind tickets will be given to those who have parked illegally. Please look for parking signs and ask for assistance from staff working that evening. Traffic traveling north bound on Jackson will be rerouted until the event is over.
