Man arrested in Sneedville pharmacy robbery

SNEEDVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) –  A man has been arrested for trying to rob a Sneedville pharmacy.

Police had been looking for the suspect caught in surveillance footage back in January, inside the Sneedville Rite-Aid. He wrote a note to the pharmacist demanding medication and deputies say he may have had a gun.

Law enforcement officials have now arrested William David Hopper in connection with the robbery.

Hopper is facing 1 count of attempted robbery.

He was released on a $40,000 bail – and is expected in court on April 1.
