A $6 million lawsuit has been filed by a family in Rogersville following a fatal auto accident – last month – involving a truck driver on Highway 11W.
73 year old Diana Blevins was killed in the May 2 accident. She was a passenger in a car driven by her husband, Charles, that struck a tractor trailer at the intersection with 11W and AFG Road in Rogersville. The THP said Mr. Blevins’ Toyota Highlander hit the rear axle of the big rig as it blocked 11W while attempting to turn onto AFG Road. The freightliner was hauling glass at the time.
Attorneys for the family say the truck driver was at fault in the wreck that killed Mrs. Blevins, and injuries sustained by Charles Blevins have had him on life support.
The trucking company named in the lawsuit is based out of Illinois. The driver was identified as a man from Texas.
