Miss Tennessee 2022 crowned in Memphis

June 25, 2022, Memphis, Tenn.  – It was a big night for the city of Lexington, TN as Miss Lexington and Miss Lexington Outstanding Teen took top honors at the Miss Tennessee Scholarship Competition Saturday night.

Miss Lexington, Lauren Dickson, took home the crown of Miss Tennessee 2022, capping three days of an action-packed competition.

In addition to her scholarship of $16,000 as the new Miss Tennessee, Dickson won preliminary rounds for her talent and social impact initiative. She also tied for Overall Interview and won the Public Relations Award in addition to being the highest fundraiser through HundredX for a total of $19,000 in scholarship money in this competition.

A talented vocalist, Dickson will champion her social impact initiative, “Heart for the Hungry: Overcoming Food Insecurity” during her service as Miss Tennessee 2022. She is a student at Union University and is pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration. Her career ambition is to continue serving as a licensed financial advisor.

Jane Marie Franks, Miss Lexington’s Outstanding Teen, won the title of Miss Tennessee’s Outstanding Teen 2022 and a $3,500 scholarship in addition to $300 in scholarship she won in the preliminary rounds as the talent and evening gown/onstage question preliminary winner. A student at Frank Hughes School in Clifton, Tennessee, she will champion her social impact initiative, “Operation Global Needs.” As part of this project, Franks raised donations to pack and distribute 1,000 shoeboxes filled with gifts, hygiene items, and toys for children in need.

Thirty-six women from across the state competed for the title of Miss Tennessee and all won scholarships. Each of the non-semi-finalists received a $1,000 scholarship.

As Miss Tennessee 2022, Dickson will make appearances across the state, speak to school students, and serve as a representative of the Miss America Organization. The primary function of Miss Tennessee is to serve as an advocate and role model for young women while sharing her passion and life story, as well as the legacy of the Miss America Organization. Second runner-up: Eliza Faith Sanders, Miss Sullivan County, receiving a $4,000 scholarship.

Third runner-up: Lauren Blodgett, Miss Greater Gibson County, receiving a $3,000 scholarship.

Fourth runner-up: Kaylah Johnson, Miss Milan Crown & Scepter, receiving a $2,000 scholarship.

First runner-up: Anna Parlapiano, Miss Greene County’s Outstanding Teen, receiving a $1,500 scholarship.

Second runner-up: Madison Metcalf, Miss Robertson County’s Outstanding Teen, receiving a $1,000 scholarship.

Third runner-up: Zoeya Khan, Miss Perry County’s Outstanding Teen, receiving a $500 scholarship.

Fourth runner-up: Addie Cooksey, Miss Gallatin’s Outstanding Teen, receiving a $250 scholarship.
